The following deaths have occurred in Leitrim and the surrounding area

Kennett Vale, Bristol, England and Corboy, Mostrim, Longford

Kenneth will be forever missed by his loving wife Dianne, son David, daughter Janet, sons-in-law Andy and John, daughter-in-law Michelle, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brother Alan, sister Pat, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends here in Ireland and in England. Reposing in Connell's Funeral Home, Church St., Longford, on Tuesday 11th from 11am until 12 noon followed by removal to St. Mary's Church, Edgeworthstown for Funeral Mass at 1pm followed with Cremation in Lakelands Crematorium, Dublin Rd., Cavan. Family flowers only please, donation, if desired, to The Oncology Day Unit Cavan General Hospital, c/o of Davy Connell Funeral Directors, or any family member. Please note: Parking for Connell's Funeral Home is in Connolly Barrracks. Please follow the signs.

Peacefully on Monday, Sept 10th 2018 at Sligo University Hospital surrounded by her devoted family. Beloved wife of the predeceased Sonny. Sadly missed by her loving sons John (Drumshanbo), Joseph and Noel (Mornington), daughters Mary (Newry), predeceased Martina (Roosky) and Carmel (Roscommon), brothers, sister, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, her grandchildren, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, friends and neighbours. Reposing at St. Hugh’s Church, Ballinaglera on Wednesday evening from 6-9pm. Funeral mass on Thursday at Twelve noon, at St. Hugh's followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Kathleen Sorohan (née Kelleher), Fardromin, Ballinamuck, Longford / Moyne, Longford

Formerly Cammagh, Moyne. Peacefully at her residence in the loving care of her family. Predeceased by her husband Dan, son Philip and grandson Daniel, sister Margaret Scully, Bornacoola and brother Vincent Kelleher, Main St, Longford. Deeply regretted by her loving family, son Charlie, daughters Margaret and Helen, grandson Joe, daughter-in-law Mary, niece, nephews, brother-in-law, extended family and friends. Reposing at her residence on Wednesday from 2pm until removal on Thursday to St Patrick’s Church, Ballinamuck arriving at 7.30pm. Mass of the Resurrection on Friday at 2pm followed by burial in adjoining cemetery. Peter Dillon, 0857631172.

Noel King, Athygrannie, Croghan, Boyle, Roscommon / Elphin, Roscommon

Peacefully, at home in Athygrannie surrounded by his loving family. After a long illness bravely borne. Son of the late Charles and Nora. Noel will be very sadly missed by his loving wife Marie, children Caroline, Denise and Cathal, sons-in-law Paddy and Cathal, daughter-in-law Yvonne, brother Haulie, sisters Bridie, Ursula and Marie, brothers-in-law, cherished grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends. Reposing at the home of his son Cathal, Portobello, Croghan (F52 X786) on Tuesday, September 11 from 2-9pm. Removal on Wednesday morning (via Windmill Road) to St. Patrick's Church, Elphin for Funeral Mass at 12noon. Burial afterwards in Caldra Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Dontions in lieu if desired to Palliative Care Roscommon, c/o Mayo/Roscommon Hospice.

Marjorie O'Connor (née Hand), Larchgrove, Elphin, Roscommon

Peacefully at Roscommon University Hospital after a long illness. Beloved wife of Michael and loving mother of Raymond, Declan, Finbarr, Edel and Helen. She will be sadly missed by her sorrowing husband and family, son-in-law Peter, daughter-in-law Marie, grandchildren, Helen's partner Martin, Finbarr's partner Christine, sisters Detty and Kay, brothers John, Connie and Tommy, nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, relatives, neighbours and friends. Reposing at McHughs Funeral Home, Strokestown on Wednesday the 12th of September from 5pm until 8pm. Removal on Thursday, September the 13th to St Catherine's Church, Killina to arrive for Funeral Mass at 11:30am. Burial afterwards in Killina Cemetery.
