The following deaths have taken place in Leitrim and surrounding areas:

Patrick Joseph (Paddy) Kilroy, Killamaun, Mohill, Leitrim / Roscommon

Kilroy, Patrick Joseph (Paddy), Killamuan, Mohill, Co. Leitrim and late of The Percy French Hotel, Strokestown and Mayo, suddenly, at his residence. Predeceased by his wife Margaret. Paddy will be sadly missed by his loving daughter Sharon, son in law Garry, beloved granddaughter Saoirse, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sisters Eileen and Mary, nieces, nephews and his many friends. Reposing at Leavy's Funeral Home, Scramogue, Co. Roscommon on Friday morning from 11am until 12 noon with burial afterwards in Mohill cemetery. House private at all times please.


Thomas (Tommy) Simpson, Ardikellan, Strokestown, Roscommon

Peacefully at Roscommon University Hospital. Beloved husband of Anne and much loved father of Helena, Cathal and Antoinette. He will be sadly missed by his sorrowing wife and family, sisters Kitty Kelly and Rita Lowe, nephews, nieces, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, relatives, neighbours and friends. Reposing at McHugh's Funeral Home, Strokestown, on Friday, September 14th, from 5.30pm until 7.30pm, followed by Removal to the Church of SS. Eithne and Fidelma, Tulsk, to arrive at 8pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday, September 15th, at 11.30am. Burial afterwards in Tulsk Cemetery.

Bridget Smith (nee Lee), Ardue, Ballyconnell, Co. Cavan & formerly Fairview, Cavan Town. September 12th 2018 peacefully at her residence. Deeply regretted by her loving husband Mark, son Mark (junior), daughters Amanda & Charlene, brothers Peter, Paul, Tully, Tommie, Martin, sisters Dee, Kitty & Ann, son-in-law, daughter-in-law Anita, nephews, nieces, relatives & friends. Rest in Peace. House private at all other times please. Removal on Friday morning arriving at St. Mary's Church, Staghall for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Kathleen Sorohan (née Kelleher), Fardromin, Ballinamuck, Longford / Moyne, Longford

Formerly Cammagh, Moyne. Peacefully at her residence in the loving care of her family. Predeceased by her husband Dan, son Philip and grandson Daniel, sister Margaret Scully, Bornacoola and brother Vincent Kelleher, Main St, Longford. Deeply regretted by her loving family, son Charlie, daughters Margaret and Helen, grandson Joe, daughter-in-law Mary, niece, nephews, brother-in-law, extended family and friends. Kathleen Mulvey (née Skelly) Barry, Keenagh, Longford

Peacefully, in Mullingar Regional Hospital. Predeceased by her husband Ned and her son Eamon. Deeply regretted by her loving family, her son Paul, her daughters-in-law Carmel and Marta, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and neighbours. Reposing in Thomond Lodge Nursing Home, Ballymahon, this Friday evening from 5.30pm -8pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday in The Church of the Sacred Heart, Carrickedmond, at 12 noon, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Suddenly, sadly missed by his loving wife Rosaleen, daughters Mary Kavanagh, Monaghan / daughter Patricia Golden, Knockarush, Boyle / Frances Muldoon, Rosses Point, Co Sligo / Claire Callery, Moville, Co Donegal - brothers Eugene Callery, Knockroe, Boyle and Cormac Callery, The Warren, Boyle. Sons-in-law Michael, Gerry, Sean and Egon, grandchildren and great-grandson. Reposing at his daughter's house, Patricia Golden, Knockarush, Boyle on Friday 14th from 5-9pm. Removal on Saturday to Saint Joseph's Church, Boyle for Mass of the Resurrection at 2pm with burial afterwards to Assylynn Old Cemetery, Boyle. House strictly private on Saturday morning please. Geraldine Gardner (née Cosgrove) Wembley, London & Mountdelvin, Cloonfad, Roscommon

Peacefully in her home. Deeply regretted by her children Shannon & Calum, their dad Gary, her partner Mick, her mum Margaret, her sisters Marie Brady (London) & Anne Cafferty (London), brothers Hubert (Caherlistrane, Galway), Pete (Ardrahan) & Anthony (Mountdelvin), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, neighbours & friends. Reposing in Cloonfad Community Centre on Friday from 6 -8pm. Funeral arriving to St. Patrick's Church, Cloonfad on Saturday morning for Funeral Mass at 10am with the funeral proceeding to Shannon Crematorium for service at 1pm. Funeral Service in England at a later date.
