Donegal deaths, Monday, March 5th

The following deaths have taken place in Leitrim and surrounding areas:

Shane McRann, Mountallen, Drumshanbo, Roscommon

In loving memory of Shane McRann died at St. James' Hospital, after a long illness. Predeceased by his parents Jim and Nellie and his sister Evelyn. Sadly missed by his sisters Angela, Frances, Monica and Mia, niece Ella, nephews Fergal and Dereck, brother-in-laws TP, Pauric,Darryl and Derek, long standing friend and staff member Patricia, relatives, neighbours and friends. Reposing at Shivnan's Funeral Home, Ballyfarnon, from 4 to 8pm on Friday 15th February. Removal on Saturday 16th February to the Church of the Nativity, Keadue, for funeral Mass at 12 noon followed by burial immediately afterwards in old cemetery, Drumshambo. House Private Please. Joe Ward, Clongowney, Mullingar, Westmeath / Mohill, Leitrim

Joe Ward, Clongowney, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath and formerly of Drumcolligan, Mohill, Co. Leitrim. (retd. An Garda Siochána) suddenly at Midlands Regional Hospital Mullingar. February 12th 2019. Predeceased by his brother Tom. Joe will be very sadly missed by his loving wife Helen (McCormack), sister Bernadette, cousin Anna, nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. Reposing at Gilsenan's Funeral Home, Mullingar on Friday from 3pm followed by removal to the Cathedral of Christ the King, Mullingar arriving at 6.30o'c. Funeral Mass on Saturday at 12pm followed by burial in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Marlinstown, Mullingar. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired to ISPCA.

Pat Collum, Carrick Road, Drumshanbo, Leitrim / Carrick-on-Shannon, Leitrim

Pat Collum, Carrick Road, Drumshanbo and formerly Breffni Crescent, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co.Leitrim. 11th February 2019 (peacefully) in the tender loving care of the nurses and staff at St.Patrick's Hospital, Carrick-on-Shannon, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his brothers Eamonn and Charlie, sisters Bridie and Angela. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving wife Margaret, sons Fr.Pat (New Orleans), Martin (Keshcarrigan), Joe (Dublin), Jude (Drumsna), daughter Karen (Drumsna), son-in-law Michael, daughters-in-law Monica and Mary, grandchildren Dylan, Jack, Eva, Alisha, Leah and Sophie, brothers Eugene, Joseph, Jim and Christopher, sisters Teresa, Margo, Bernadette and Noleen, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. Reposing at St. Patrick's Hospital Chapel, Carrick-on-Shannon, today, Thursday evening from 3.30- 6pm with removal to St. Mary's Church, Carrick-on-Shannon, arriving at 7pm. Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 12 noon with funeral afterwards to St. Mary's Cemetery, Carrick-on-Shannon.

John (Johnnie) Cremin, Aughnaglace, Aughavas, Leitrim / Millstreet, Cork

The death has occured of John (Johnnie) Cremin of Aughnaglace, Aughavas, Co. Leitrim and formerly of Millstreet, Co. Cork, Monday 11th of February, 2019 suddenly at his home. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving family, his brother, sister, nephews, nieces, neighbours and friends. Reposing at Finnegan's Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Cavan today, Thursday 14th of February 2019 from 12pm - 2pm followed by cremation at 2pm. Burial of ashes in Millstreet, Cork at a later date. House private at all times please.

Sean Keaveney, Cornamon, Glenfarne, Leitrim / Birr, Offaly

Formerly of Carrig, Birr, Co. Offaly. Deeply regretted by his wife Janet, daughters Karen and Annmarie, sons-in-law Marc and Henry, grandchildren Jacques and Isaac, his brother Padraic, sisters Anna, Myra, Bella and Dolores, extended family, neighbours and friends. Reposing at Our Lady's Hospital Chapel, Manorhamilton, this (Thursday) evening from 5.30 until 7pm followed by removal to St. Mary's Church, Glenfarne to arrive at 7.30pm. Funeral Mass on Friday at 11am with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Lou Albert Tormey 14 Castle Gardens, Newtownforbes, Longford / Moate, Westmeath

Formerly Clara Rd, Moate, Co Westmeath. Died suddenly in Mullingar General Hospital on 08/02/2019. Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Thersea, brothers Pat and David, sister Neillie Vine. Lou will be sadly missed by his wife Marie, son James and his girlfriend Edel, brothers Joe and Christy, sisters Marjie Simons, Mary Guinan Kay Bannon, brothers-in-law Barry, Jim, Pauric, Michael, Peter and Barney, sisters-in-law Philis, Maria, Jean, Aggie and Bridget, neighbours, friends and his Army Colleagues. Lou was a Serving member of 4th Cavalry Sqn and 6th Inf Bn, for 42 years which included 13 overseas service missions to Lebanon, Liberia, Chad and Kosavo. Funeral Mass today, Thursday, February 14th at 12 noon in St Mary's Church, Newtownforbes, Longford,(N39 EF29). followed with burial in the New Cemetery.

Margaret Sheridan, Brankill, Arva, Cavan

Sheridan, Brankill, Arva, Co Cavan, February 11th 2019 at Cavan General Hospital, Margaret, beloved wife of the late Jack. Loving mother of John, Denis, Ciaran, Yvonne and Enda. Deeply regretted by her loving sons, daughter, sister and brothers, son-in-law Lionel Mullally, daughters-in-law Martina and Aisling, grandchildren, relatives and friends. Funeral Mass today, Thursday morning in the Church of the Sacred Heart, Arva at 11am. Burial afterwards in Coronea Cemetery.

Beloved Son of Patricia, he will be sadly missed by his heartbroken mother and brothers and his extended family and friends. Reposing at this late residence with remains going to St Joseph's church, The Rock, Ballyshannon, today, Thursday, February 14, for 11am funeral Mass, with burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery. Joseph Keogan formerly College Park, Boyle, Co. Roscommon and Drimnagh, Co. Dublin

The death has occurred of Joseph Keogan (formerly College Park, Boyle, Co. Roscommon and Drimnagh, Co. Dublin) in the loving care of doctors and nursing staff of Sligo University Hospital on Tuesday, 12th February 2019. Joe will be sadly missed by his loving son Christopher, his daughter-in-law Kimberley, his grandchildren Elizabeth, Alex, Caoimhe and Skye-Rose, his sisters Anne, Ronnie and Patricia, his nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Joe will be reposing at Mahon's Funeral Home, Boyle, today, Thursday 14th February from 5pm to 6.30pm, with arrival to St Joseph's Church, Boyle, at 7pm. Funeral Mass on Friday at 11am with burial afterwards in Assylynn Cemetery, Boyle. Family flowers only. Michael Rogan, Ballymagrine, Rooskey, Roscommon

Peacefully after a short illness at the Galway Clinic surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Patsy and much loved father of Angela Lydon, Adrian, Michelle Beirne and Deirdre Roche. He will be sadly missed by his sorrowing wife and family, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, his 10 grandchildren, sisters Mollie, Ann, Bridie and Una, sister-in-law Mary Glancy, nephews, niece, relatives, neighbours and friends. Removal on Thursday February 14th to the Sacred Heart Church, Whitehall, Tarmonbarry to arrive for Funeral Mass at 12.30 p.m. Burial afterwards in Kilbarry Cemetery.
