The following deaths have taken place in Leitrim and surrounding areas:

Joe White, Iona Villas, Glasnevin, Dublin / Knockvicar, Roscommon

Joe White, Iona Villas, Glasnevin, Dublin and formerly Derrynine, Knockvicar, Boyle, Co. Roscommon. March 6th 2019. Peacefully, in the tender care of the staff at Our Lady’s Hospice, Harold’s Cross. Predeceased by parents John and Mary Kate, brother Seán, sisters Shelia and Patricia. Sadly missed by his brother Frank, sisters Jenny and Miriam, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, former work colleagues in the Prison Service, relatives, neighbours and his many friends. Reposing at his home in Glasnevin on Thursday from 5.00 o’clock until 8.00 o’clock. Removal on Friday to St. Patrick’s Church, Crossna, Knockvicar, Co. Roscommon, arriving 6.00 o’clock. Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 11.00 o’clock. Interment afterwards in Kileenan Cemetery.

Margaret McGahern, Glasnevin, Dublin / Cootehall, Roscommon

McGahern (Glasnevin, Dublin, formerly of Cootehall, Co. Roscommon and retired Eastern Health Board) March 6th 2019 (peacefully) in the loving care of the staff at TLC Centre, Santry. Margaret, dear sister of Rosaleen, Monica, Dympna and the late Sean, Breege and Frankie. Sadly missed by her relatives and friends. Reposing at TLC Centre, Santry on Thursday evening from 5.00pm to 7.00pm. Removal on Friday morning to the Church of Our Lady of Dolours, Botanic Avenue, Glasnevin arriving for Requiem Mass at 11.00am followed by cremation at Glasnevin Crematorium. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to Dementia Ireland.

Nóirín Reilly (née O'Connell), Skreeny Manor, Manorhamilton/Nenagh, Co. Tipperary

The death has occurred of Nóirín Reilly (née O'Connell), Skreeny Manor, Manorhamilton, Co. Leitrim and formerly Southill, Nenagh, Co. Tipperary. Ex R.S.A. and Dept. of Social and Family Affairs, peacefully at home in the loving embrace of her family. Regretted by her sorrowing husband, Gerard, beloved daughter Clíodhna and son Diarmaid, brothers Tim and Tomás, sisters Anne, Mary, Dolores, Gerri, Brigella, Aunt Anne Healy, Kanturk, sisters-in-law Fiona, Bernie, Patricia, Helen, Marie, brothers-in-law Paul, Peter, Ger, Mike, Ronan and Pauric, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Funeral Requiem Mass at 11 am at St. Clare’s Church, Manorhamiltonon Thursday, 7th of March, followed by burial in adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only, donations, if wished, to North West Hospice. Family home private please.

Bernard (Bernie) O’Hara, Manorhamilton/Dun Laoighaire, Co Dublin

O’Hara, Bernard (Bernie) (Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin and formerly Manorhamilton, Co. Leitrim) March 4, 2019. Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, in the care of the wonderful staff at Glengara Park Nursing Home. Beloved husband of Yvonne and devoted father of Fran, Mags and Steve. He will be sadly missed by his heartbroken wife, children, son-in-law John, daughter-in-law Karen, grandchildren Aisling, Jemma, Cian, Danny and Ellen, brothers and sisters, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Bernard will be reposing at his home on Thursday evening, March 7th from 4pm-7pm. Funeral Mass at 10am on Friday morning, March 8th in the Church of Our Lady of Good Counsel, Churchview Road, Johnstown / Killiney followed by burial at Shanganagh Cemetery.
