The following deaths have taken place in Leitrim and surrounding areas:

Cathal McGee, Deerpark, Boyle, Roscommon

In loving memory of Cathal McGee who died, peacefully, on Wednesday 6th March, surrounded by his family, in the tender loving care of the doctors, nurses and staff of the Corrib Ward, University Hospital, Galway. Sadly missed by his loving wife Mary, son Sean, daughter Karen, daughter-in-law Marie, son-in-law Adrian, grandchildren Caoimhe, Shona, Daniel, Amy and Aaron, sisters Mary and Noreen O'Connell (Dungloe) brother-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. Reposing at his residence on Friday 8th from 3pm to 9pm. Requiem Mass at 2pm on Saturday 9th in St Joseph's Church, Boyle. Burial immediately afterwards in Assylinn Cemetery. Family flowers only, please, donations, if desired, to Cancer Care West. As a mark of respect, Magee Fashion Shop, Boyle, will be closed until Monday 11th March.

Patrick (Paddy) O'Hara, Castle Street, Manorhamilton, Leitrim

The death has occurred of Paddy O'Hara of Castle Street, Manorhamilton and formerly of Brackarymore, Manorhamilton in his 97th year, peacefully at St. Phelim's Nursing Home, Dromahair surrounded by his family. Funeral arrangements to be announced later.

Dolores Gallagher, Ballindrait, Lifford, Donegal / Bundoran, Donegal

The death has occured at Inbhear Na Mara,Residential Unit, Bundoran of Dolores Gallagher, formerly Ballindrait, Lifford. Much loved sister of Drew, Anne, Pádraig and Paula. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her brothers, sisters, sisters-in-law Margaret and Ruth, brothers-in-law Tommy and Damien, nephews, nieces and very many friends.  Removal from Residential Unit on Friday, March 8th, at 5.45pm to arrive at the Church of Mary Immaculate, Stranorlar at 7pm to repose overnight. Requiem Mass on Saturday, March 9th, at 10am with interment afterwards in St. Patrick's Churchyard, Castlederg, Co. Tyrone. Donations in lieu of flowers, if so desired, to the Residential Unit, Inbhear Na Mara, Bundoran care of any family member or G.Mc Cool & Son Funeral Directors, Ballybofey.

Joe White, Iona Villas, Glasnevin, Dublin / Knockvicar, Roscommon

Joe White, Iona Villas, Glasnevin, Dublin and formerly Derrynine, Knockvicar, Boyle, Co. Roscommon. March 6th 2019. Peacefully, in the tender care of the staff at Our Lady’s Hospice, Harold’s Cross. Predeceased by parents John and Mary Kate, brother Seán, sisters Shelia and Patricia. Sadly missed by his brother Frank, sisters Jenny and Miriam, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, former work colleagues in the Prison Service, relatives, neighbours and his many friends. Removal on Friday to St. Patrick’s Church, Crossna, Knockvicar, Co. Roscommon, arriving 6.00 o’clock. Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 11.00 o’clock. Interment afterwards in Kileenan Cemetery.

Margaret McGahern, Glasnevin, Dublin / Cootehall, Roscommon

McGahern (Glasnevin, Dublin, formerly of Cootehall, Co. Roscommon and retired Eastern Health Board) March 6th 2019 (peacefully) in the loving care of the staff at TLC Centre, Santry. Margaret, dear sister of Rosaleen, Monica, Dympna and the late Sean, Breege and Frankie. Removal on Friday morning to the Church of Our Lady of Dolours, Botanic Avenue, Glasnevin arriving for Requiem Mass at 11.00am followed by cremation at Glasnevin Crematorium. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to Dementia Ireland.
