Leitrim deaths

The following deaths have taken place in Leitrim and surrounding areas:

Gerard Mulligan, Currycramp, Dromod, Leitrim

Gerard (Gerry) Mulligan, Currycramp, Dromod, Co. Leitrim, March 9th 2019 (peacefully) in his 98th year surrounded by his loving family at the Midland Regional Hospital, Mullingar. Gerry will be sadly missed by his family, his cherished wife Bernadette, daughters Mary McCaffrey, (Belfast), Anne Keenan (Abbeyshrule), and Philomena, sons Gerard, Tom, Peter (Edgewortstown) and Colm (Abbeyshrule), sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, cousins, neighbours and a large circle of friends and societies. Funeral Mass Tuesday at 12 noon at St Michael's Church, Bornacoola with interment afterwards in Cloonmorris Cemetery.

Teresa Fox (née Brady), Cartron, Drumlish, Longford

Predeceased by her husband Joseph, daughter-in-law Dorothy, sisters Margaret Mc Manus, Elizabeth Sheirdan and Kathleen Leonard. Teresa will be sadly missed by her family, sons Patsy and Michael, daughter Margaret, son-in-law Michael, daughter-in-law Lynne, brother Michael Brady (Esker), grandchildren Michelle, Grainne, Aoife, Doireann and Mischa. Funeral Mass on Tuesday (12th) at 11 o'clock in St Mary's Church, Ennybegs, Killoe, Co Longford, followed with burial in Kilmahon Cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations if desired to Laurel Lodge Patient Comfort Fund c/o Connell Funeral Directors or any family member.

Mary Brady (née Leydon), Elphin, Roscommon

Mary T. Brady (nee Leydon) Elphin, Co. Roscommon and late of Knockvicar, Boyle. March 10th, 2019. Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, in the wonderful care of the staff at the Sacred Heart Hospital, Roscommon. Loving wife of the late Sean, daughter of the late Teresa and Patrick and sister of the late Rosaleen, Seamus and Josie. Sadly missed by her daughter Gina, sons Declan, Fintan, Aidan, John, Paul, Cathal, Coman and Enda, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, sisters Nora and Phil, brothers Johnny, Padraig and Michael, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandson, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends. Reposing at the family Funeral Home, Elphin on Tuesday from 3pm to 7pm followed by removal to St. Patrick’s Church, Elphin. Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Grace Gilliand, East End, Bundoran, Donegal

Grace Gilliland, East End, Bundoran, Co. Donegal, March 10th 2019, peacefully at home, aged 23 years. Beloved and only daughter of Neil and Olga, and loving granddaughter of Pat and Hedley Gilliland and Bernie and the Late Emmett Travers. Deeply regretted by her heartbroken parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts-in-law, her adoring cousins and all her relatives, neighbours, carers and many friends who were so good to Grace all over the years. Reposing at the family home today,  Tuesday, from 10am to 9pm. House strictly private at all other times please and on the morning of the funeral. Removal on Wednesday morning to arrive at the Church of Our Lady Star of the Sea, Bundoran for Mass of the Resurrection at 11am and afterwards to Lakelands Crematorium, Dublin Rd., Cavan for Cremation Service at 3pm. All welcome.

Henry J. (Harry) Wynne, Lissadell, Carrick Road, Boyle, Roscommon

Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family and the wonderful care of the staff at University Hospital Sligo. Cherished husband of Marie, beloved father of Nicola, Paul and Jonathan adored grandfather of Harry, Marcus, Amanda, Leonie, Lucie, Georgina and Timothee. Sadly, missed by son-in- law Vlad, daughters-in-law Susan and Niamh, brother Christy, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, relatives, nieces, nephews and a wide circle of friends. Reposing at his home Wednesday 13th March, 3 o'clock until 7 o'clock. Mass of the Resurrection in St. Joseph's Church, Boyle, on Thursday 14th March at 12 o'clock. Burial afterwards in Assylinn Cemetery, Boyle.Family flowers only, donations, if desired, to Oncology Unit, Sligo University Hospital, c/o Mahon's Funeral Directors, Boyle.House strictly private Thursday morning, please.
