There has been an incident involving the theft of home heating oil in the South Leitrim area.
Gardaí have confirmed that they received a report of home heating oil being stolen from a residence in the Drumcong/Drumshanbo area. They are advising residents to ensure their fuel tanks are properly secured and to report any suspicious activity without delay.
Suspicious activity can be reported by contacting your local 24-hour Garda station. Carrick-on-Shannon Garda Station can be reached at 071 96 50510.
Residents of Leitrim can stay informed about alerts affecting the county by signing up for Leitrim Alerts at leitrimalerts.ie, which provides notifications via SMS and email.
