Thirty years of magic: A Gala celebration for The Glens Arts Centre in Manorhamilton
Commencing at 7pm at Clayton Hotel, Sligo, this major fundraiser promises a night of world-class entertainment and a spectacular toast to three decades of the arts.
For over thirty years, The Glens Arts Centre in Manorhamilton has been the creative soul of North Leitrim and to mark this milestone, the celebration heads to the Clayton Hotel, Sligo, for a landmark 30th Anniversary Gala on Saturday, the 16th of May 2026. Commencing at 7pm, this major fundraiser promises a night of world-class entertainment and a spectacular toast to three decades of the arts.
A Legacy on Stage
Establishing itself as a sanctuary for the arts over the last three decades, The Glens has consistently brought world-class culture to the heart of the community. The 30th Anniversary Gala stays true to these origins, with celebrated theatre companies The Rabbits Riot, Exit Does Theatre, and Splódar all performing on the night. These collectives are the cornerstone of the centre’s mission: providing and promoting a space where grassroots creativity and local identity can flourish.
A Stellar Lineup
The Gala will feature legendary voices like Eleanor Shanley, the folk-fusion of Members of NoCrows, and the infectious energy of the Ó Snodaigh Brothers (Kila). Storytelling is at the heart of the celebration with Seamus O’Rourke and Gerry Farrell, while The Rock School, under Dee Armstrong, represents the rising stars of the local scene. The eveningmwill be hosted by Vincent Woods, who joins the festivities as MC. Together, these performers bridge the gap between thirty years of history and a bright new future for The Glens.
An Investment in the Future
While the night is a celebration of the last 30 years, it is also a vital fundraiser. Every ticket bought ensures that the lights stay on and the creative spirit of the region continues to flourish for the next generation.
