The Leitrim Design House is delighted to showcase the work of Glenda Rolston on ART WALL from August 11 until October.

Glenda is an artist who employs diverse disciplines and subject matter to investigate form and dimension. Using collage, drawing, painting, graphics and textiles. Glenda explores notions of frailty, delicacy and simplicity.

Her work currently investigates the very basics of drawing process.

She explains the approach to her work “I wanted to simplify my art practice right back to basics and build it up from there.

“This series of drawings from found imagery is an exercise in capturing form and texture using only pencil. Moving house and finding employment meant I hadn’t produced work for a while and I wanted to ground myself again with pure drawing as something to build my practice on.”

Glenda Rolston was born in Limavady but moved to Leitrim three years ago.

Graduating from the University of Ulster in Fine Art, Painting she has gone on to exhibit in both group and solo shows in Bristol, Coleraine, Belfast and Limavady.

This exhibition is on show until October this year.
