Irish Farmers Journal's Land Price Report shows that 20% of all land transactions in Leitrim last year were for forestry

Leitrim had the highest percentage of forestry sales in 2018 with almost 20% of all land transactions in the county bought for forestry according to the Irish Farmers Journal Land Price Report which is due to be published tomorrow, Friday, March 22.

The report also shows that Leitrim's average land price has broken €5,000/ac for the first time since 2010. The average land value in the county in 2018 was €5,222/ac up from €4,586/ac in 2017.
