€70,000 capital investment for Family Resource Centres across Sligo and Leitrim
Seven Family Resource Centres across Sligo and Leitrim are set to benefit from a combined €70,000, with each centre receiving a once-off allocation of €10,000 during 2026.
In Leitrim, the Breffni Family Resource Centre, Mohill Family Resource Centre, and Northwest STOP Family Resource Centre in Drumkeeran were the recipients of the funds.
“I am delighted to see seven Family Resource Centres across Sligo and Leitrim receive this important investment,” said Minister Marian Harkin.
“Family Resource Centres are often the first point of contact for families and individuals looking for support. They are rooted in their communities and understand the particular needs of the people they serve.”
“I also want to particularly welcome the inclusion of Northwest STOP in Drumkeeran, which became one of the country’s new Family Resource Centres earlier this year. This is an important development for communities in Leitrim and the wider North West and recognises the valuable work already being carried out by the organisation.”
The funding was announced by Minister for Children, Disability and Equality Norma Foley as part of a new €1.36 million once-off capital investment in Family Resource Centres across the country.
