Leitrim's Keith Beirne has been named on the GAA.ie's Team of the Week for the third week in a row after the Mohill man landed ten points in the Green & Gold's Allianz NFL Division 4 defeat at the hands of Wexford in Chadwicks Wexford Park on Sunday.

Beirne has been selected on all three teams of the week by GAA.ie, the only player to make all three teams, on foot of another ten point haul against The Model County, four from frees and one mark. Wexford goalkeeper Darragh Brooks, who scored four long range frees, also made the team of the week.

Laois' Paul Kingston is the only other Division 4 player to earn his place on the prestigious weekly award with 13 counties in all represented on the team.

Beirne remains the top scorer in the entire Allianz League with his tally now at 2-27 after three games for an average of 11 points a game.

Unfortunately for Beirne and his teammates, Leitrim suffered their first loss of the campaign as Wexford hit five points in the final ten minutes of action to secure a 0-19 to 0-15 victory at home. Leitrim host Carlow next Sunday February 26, in Avant Money Pairc Sean Mac Diarmada.
