Aughavas GAA Club are starting a brand new era for their historic club with the opening of a state of the art astro-turf pitch, one of the biggest of its kind in the county.
The 74 metre long and 32 metre wide artifical surface is almost half the size of a full-sized GAA pitch and the fully floodlit facility will enable Aughavas and St Joseph's Ladies teams to train all year round regardless of weather.
To help meet the cost of this ambitious project, Aughavas GAA Club are appealing for support for their fundrasing draw which will be held next Sunday evening, May 7, in The Dugout Bar in Aughavas.
