The return of star forward Keith Beirne and goalkeeper Nevin O'Donnell to the Leitrim starting line-up for Sunday's crucial Tailteann Cup clash with Wexford in Parnell Park has been off-set by the news that long serving defender Paddy Maguire has not been included in the 26 strong match day squad.
Beirne and O'Donnell both missed the defeat to Fermanagh on Sunday May 21, due to injury while St Mary's Conor Farrell also regains his spot in defence in Maguire's absence. Glencar Manorhamilton's James Rooney is also named to start while Annaduff's Conor Reynolds, out of action since suffering an injury in the New York game, is named among the substitutes.
Oisin McLoughlin who scored two marks in the opening minutes of his first start against Fermanagh in round 2 also returns to the bench as does Ballinamore Sean O'Heslins Tom Prior and Darren Maxwell.
Wexford have also named their team for the "do or die" clash with Leitrim in Parnell Park with key scorers Darragh Brooks and Mark Rossiter named to start. Rossiter scored eight points (five frees and one mark) in Chadwicks Wexford Park last February with Brooks landing four monster frees as the Model county scored a 0-19 to 0-15 victory over Andy Moran's side.
Wexford show four changes from the team that start their Allianz Division 4 victory over Leitrim in February, although two of those named to start did feature as subs in that game.
