St Mary's Kiltoghert will begin the defence of the Fenagh Cup by travelling to take on Gortletteragh in the first round of the Connacht Gold Leitrim Senior Football Championship next weekend while newly crowned Masonite Division 1 champions Fenagh St Caillins will host Letirim Gaels.
In an intriguing draw made after the conclusion of the Masonite Division 1 League that went to extra time before Fenagh St Caillins claimed a 2-12 to 2-10 victory over St Mary's, the draw threw up some interesting games with former kingpins Mohill drawn to face 2021 Intermediate winners St Patrick's Dromahair in Dromahair while 2021 winners Ballinamore Sean O'Heslins will host fellow parishioners Aughnasheelin in a local derby.
In the Smith Monumentals Intermediate Championship, newly crowned Masonite Division 2 champions Allen Gaels will host Bornacoola while last year's defeated finalists Annaduff are on the road to Kiltubrid. 2022 Junior winners Carrigallen will host a Drumkeerin team who defeated Gortletteragh in the Masonite Division 3 Final on Saturday in Drumkeerin, winning 2-7 to 0-9.
Ballinaglera will host Melvin Gaels in an interesting derby, the Kinlough men relegated last year from the Senior ranks while the final game will be an eagerly anticipated derby with Drumreilly hosting Aughavas.
Those teams drawn at home in the first round will be away in the second round which means that in the Senior grade, Ballinamore,. Gortletteragh, Fenagh St Caillins; St Patrick's Dromahair and Aughawillan cannot meet each in the second round. The same applies for those team who are drawn away as they can face the other teams who are also on the road.
Fixtures details will be issued later by the Leitrim CCC.
