It might not have been the most exciting of the draws but the third round pairings in the Connacht Gold Leitrim Senior Championship sets up some potential huge encounters in the final round of games.
The stand out game of Sunday's draw sees Aughawillan host Ballinamore Sean O'Heslins in a game that could leave the Willies deep in the relegation battle were their neighbours to win while champions St Mary's Kiltoghert will host Aughnasheelin and League champions Fenagh St Caillins will host Gortletteragh.
St Patrick's Dromahair will hope that home advantage might be enough to see them home against Leitrim Gaels while Glencar Manorhamilton will host old rivals Mohill in Boggaun.
The intriguing part of the draw is that teams who have already played each other in the first three rounds cannot meet in the final series of games, setting up a clash of champions St Mary's against one from their two predecessors in Mohill and Ballinamore or their neighbours Leitrim Gaels.
The permutations of who can play each other is determined by the fact that whoever plays at home in round three will face one of the four remaining teams who play away. For Mohill, it means they will face either St Mary's or Aughawillan in their final round while Leitrim Gaels can face anybody but Fenagh St Caillins.
In the Smith Monumentals Intermediate Championship, there is a potentially mouth watering derby with Drumkeerin hosting neighbours Allen Gaels in a battle of newly crowned League champions, the home side the Division 3 winners with the Drumshanbo men claiming Division 2 honours.
Aughavas, who overcame Drumreilly on Sunday afternoon in Carrickmakeegan, have a home tie against Ballinaglera while Annaduff will host the Drumreilly men. Bornacoola and Carrigallen, who both lost in the first round, meet while Melvin Gaels will host Kiltubrid in their second round clash.
