Leitrim will open their 2024 Allianz NFL Division 4 campaign with their longest journey, a trip to take on Waterford in Fraher Field in Dungarvan, after the GAA released their Master Fixture list for 2024 on Wednesday.
Andy Moran's side will travel to the Munster seaside town for the clash on Sunday January 28, before they host London a week later on Saturday February 3, in Avant Money Pairc Sean Mac Diarmada. The Carrick venue is also pencilled in for the February 18, clash with Wexford before Letirim face three games on the road.
Leitrim will then travel to Carlow (Sunday February 25), Longford (Sunday March 3) and Laois (Saturday March 16) before finishing up with a home game against Tipperary on Sunday March 24. The League Final will be held on the weekend of March 30-31, usually the Saturday, which would mean that if Leitrim qualify for the Division 4 Final, they would have one week to prepare for their Connacht SFC clash with Sligo on Sunday April 7.
Leitrim hurlers opened their Allianz Division 3B campaign with a trip to Birmingham on Sunday February 4, to take on Warwickshire before hosting Fermanagh on Saturday February 10, in Avant Money Pairc Sean Mac Diarmada. They will then host Lancashire on Saturday February 24, before finishing with a trip to Glennon Brothers Pearse Park on Saturday March 9.
Avant Money Pairc Sean Mac Diarmada is slated for Leitrim's league games but much will depend on when long planned works on the playing surface will commence. The full fixture programme for 2024, including pre-season competitions for the mens and ladies teams is as follows:
