Andy Moran has been handed another attacking boost after it was confirmed that former Cavan Minor & U21 player Niall Walsh has joined up with the Leitrim Senior team under the parentage rule.

Now playing his club football with 2022 Galway SFC champions Moycullen, Walsh was among those who togged out for Sunday's Allianz NFL Division 4 clash with London although he was not named among the 26 strong match day squad.

The former Shannon Gaels clubman joins up with Leitrim under the parentage rule and is actually the second player from the Blacklion based club to join the Green & Gold with keeper Nevin O'Donnell playing outfield for his club.

Speaking back in 2020 to the Anglo Celt about his switch to Moycullen, Walsh said "It was a great experience playing with Cavan minors and U21s but I got into a bit of a rut, I wasn’t really doing myself justice in terms of minding myself, physically and mentally and all that sort of stuff and preparation. Moving up here (Moycullen) and joining the club gave me a new lease of life in terms of my football career.
