For a man more used to being behind the camera, Willie Donnellan was front and centre at halftime of Sunday's Connacht GAA Senior Championship clash as Leitrim GAA made a special presentation to the long serving photographer to mark his 50 years covering gaelic games in the county.

In a special recognition of half a century covering Gaelic games in the county, Leitrim GAA County Board Chairman Enda Stenson surprised Willie with a special presentation at halftime of Sunday's game in Avant Money Pairc Sean Mac Diarmada as he was also joined by his wife Marion and daughters Rachel and Sarah for the occasion.

Much more used to taking the photo, his fellow photographer Ivan Keaney did the honours as County Board Secretary Declan Bohan paid tribute to Willie over the public address, words that were greeted by warm applause from the crowd. As Declan said, Willie must have photographed anyone who has lived in Leitrim with the exception of himself.

Congratulations to Willie on an incredible milestone of 50 years with the Observer and here's to many, many more!
