Leitrim's Tailteann Cup clash with Waterford will take place in Ballinamore's Pairc Sheain Ui Eslin on Saturday May 11, at 6pm after the GAA released their confirmed fixture list for the opening round of the second tier competition.
With Avant Money Pairc Sean Mac Diarmada closed due to the installation of a new playing surface at the Carrick-on-Shannon ground, there had been fears that Leitrim might have to play their home Tailteann Cup clash outside the county but that fear has now being allayed.
With Waterford not expected to bring a big crowd with them for the opening round of the Tailteann Cup, Ballinamore Sean O'Heslins' ability to cater for big crowds was showcased in recent months with the hosting of Leitrim's Connacht U20 and Minor FC clashes with Roscommon along with Ballinamore Sean O'Heslins' All-Ireland Ladies Intermediate Club Championship semi-final against Derry's Steelstown last December.
The game will have a 6pm throw-in with Kildare's clash with Longford fixed for the Lilywhites Centre of Excellence at Hawkfield, a game that will be televised on GAA.Go.
