Leitrim GAA will host the launch of their Green Club Strategic Plan and Information evening next Thursday May 16, at 7.30 pm in the McGovern Aughavas Leitrim GAA Centre of excellence Annaduff.
This a very important event for all Leitrim clubs as Biodiversity is becoming a very important aspect of GAA Activity, and is an opportunity for all cub members to get the up to date information on the subject, and to establish what benefits will accrue for GAA clubs from being involved.
There will be a panel of experts on the various aspects of the Green Club activities.
The Panel will include: Kurt Reinhardt Connacht GAA Biodiversity Manager, Colin Regan GAA Community and Health Manager Croke Park, John Harrington Future Fit who is an expert in energy efficiency and sustainability, Mark Corrigan Community Climate Action officer Leitrim Co Council, Paul McNama Seai Sustainable Energy Communities Mentor.
This a once off opportunity for Leitrim GAA Club members to familiarise themselves with the whole area of Biodiversity and what the GAA Green club entails.
As this initiative is particularly for the benefit of GAA clubs all Leitrim GAA Clubs are asked to be represented.
