Leitrim face Roscommon in TG4 All-Ireland IFC Quarter-Final in Ballinamore

Leitrim's eagerly anticipated TG4 LGFA All-Ireland Intermediate Championship Quarter-Final clash with Roscommon has been confirmed for Ballinamore's Pairc Sheain Ui Eslin, with a 2 pm throw-in time on Sunday June 30.

The Connacht rivals will do battle once again after the Connacht counties were drawn to face each other in Monday's TG4 LGFA All-Ireland Intermediate Championship draw.

Leitrim, who booked top spot in their group with a 0-17 to 0-10 victory over Wicklow in Roundwood, ensured home advantage by topping thier group while Roscommon, who lost narrowly to Wexford in the group stages before clinching their place in the quarter-finals with a 5-11 to 0-4 victory over Antrim, took the second spot.

Should Jonny Garrity's side prevail once more against Roscommon, they will face the winners of the Wexford v Westmeath clash in the Semi-Final on Sunday July 14. Wexford defeated Leitrim in the quarter-finals in Wexford Park last year before going on to lose to eventual champions Kildare while Westmeath finished mid-table in Division 2 of the Lidl NFL.

NOT THE BEST START BUT LEITRIM KEPT GOING SAYS AILBHE CLANCY

The full TG4 All-Ireland Intermediate Championship quarter-final draw is as follows:

  3. Clare v Tyrone
  4. Leitrim v Roscommon
