An intriguing, rather than blockbuster, draw for the first round of the 2024 Connacht Gold Leitrim Senior Football Championship will see newly crowned Masonite Division 1 champions St Mary's Kiltoghert take on their predecessors Fenagh St Caillins in the opening round next weekend.

The meeting of the last two League winners is the stand out clash of the first round of the Senior Championship next weekend as champions Mohill open the defence of the Fenagh Cup away to St Patrick's Dromahair  for the second year in a row while 2021 champions Ballinamore Sean O'Heslins face a potentially tricky tie away to Leitrim Gaels.

Last year's Intermediate winners Annaduff are on the road as they take on Aughawillan while the final tie of the round sees Gortletteragh take on newly crowned Masonite Division 2 champions Glencar Manorhamilton.

The meeting of both Aughawillan & Annaduff and Fenagh St Caillins & St Mary's Kiltoghert will both take place on Friday evening, both games throwing-in at 7.30 pm while the remaining Senior games and three games in the Smith Monumentals IFC will take place on Saturday evening.

In the Smith Monumentals Intermediate Championship, last year's finalists Melvin Gaels, who lost out to Glencar Manorhamilton in Friday's Division 2 Final, are away to Aughavas while 2023 semi-finalists Allen Gaels host last year's Junior winners St Mary's Kiltoghert and Kiltubrid are away to Drumreilly. Aughnasheelin, relegated last year, are away to Drumkeerin while Carrigallen host Ballinaglera.

The meetings of Drumreilly and Kiltubrid, Aughavas & Melvin Gaels and Allen Gaels & St Mary's Kiltoghert will all take place next Saturday with the remaining games the following weekend.
