The big guns in the Connacht Gold Leitrim SFC have avoided each other with the three unbeaten teams drawn against teams in the third round who are tipped to be battling against relegation.

Champions Mohill will have home advantage for their clash with Glencar Manorhamilton where a victory would put them on course for a direct place in the semi-finalists. League champions and 2022 champions St Mary's Kiltoghert are on the road to Gortletteragh who suffered a heavy defeat at Mohill's hands last Friday evening.

Unbeaten Ballinamore Sean O'Heslins will host a St Patrick's Dromahair team who have yet to win a game and the Ballinamore men will be looking for a big win to boost their chances of making the top two.

Leitrim Gaels, who picked up their first win of the campaign against Glencar Manorhamilton on Saturday, will host Aughawillan, both teams on two points and looking for a win that might be enough to see them into the playoffs. The final game sees winless Fenagh St Caillins looking to ignite their championship campaign when they face Annaduff, who had a good win over Dromahair on Saturday.

The intriguing feature of the draw means that the teams drawn at home - Mohill, Ballinamore Sean O'Heslins, Gortletteragh, Leitrim Gaels and Fenagh St Caillins cannot face each other in the final round and with Fenagh having already played St Mary's, it could mean a blockbuster final round game.

REPORT: BALLINAMORE EDGE PAST FENAGH IN THRILLER

In the draw for the second round of the Smith Monumentals Intermediate Championship, the game may be the derby clash of Drumkeerin and Ballinaglera, both in need of points after Glera were defeated by Carigallen and Drumkeerin drew with Aughnasheelin in the final second round games this weekend.

Kiltubrid and Aughavas, both winners in the first round face off in an intriguing clash while Carrigallen, another first round winner, are away to an Allen Gaels side who were surprisingly held by St Mary's Kiltoghert's. The Carrick men's second string side will face an away trip to take on a Melvin Gaels team needing a win after their loss to Aughavas.
