Action from last year's clash of Fermanagh and Leitrim in the Lidl LGFA National League
It may be decidedly off Broadway but next Sunday, Pairc Cil Tiobraid will definitely be centre stage as the Kiltubrid ground hosts a unique meeting of two reigning All-Ireland champions in the lowest division of Ladies League football!
TG4 LGFA All Ireland Intermediate champions Leitrim open their 2025 campaign against last year's TG4 All-Ireland Junior champions Fermanagh, meaning that two of last year's three championship winners will play their League football in Division 4 of the Lidl LGFA National League.
The teams met last year in Division 4 with the Erne women prevailing 1-9 to 0-9, Leitrim's only loss of the group stages but in a cruel twist, both teams missed out on the automatic promotion that goes with the top two spots in Divisions 2 & 3 when they were stunned in the semi-finals by Limerick and Carlow respectively.
Those controversial semi-finals remain in force for Division 4 this year with 2023 Division 4 winners Antrim along with Wexford, Sligo and Longford expected to provide the stiffest tests for the All-Ireland winning duo.
Jonny Garrity's side will be without Elise Bruen, Orla Flynn, Kasey Bruen and Aine Redican who started the All-Ireland Final in Croke Park but their loss has been off-set by the return of Dearbhaile Beirne and Emma Guckian.
