Leitrim's Allianz NFL Division 3 clash with Laois has officially being postponed due to continued electrical issues caused by Storm Éowyn.
The news was confirmed at 6.30 pm on Saturday that the match would not take place this weekend with the statement confirming "Please note that the Allianz Football League Roinn 3 fixture between Liatroim and Laois, which was rescheduled for tomorrow, has been postponed due to continued electrical issues caused by Storm Éowyn."
The match was originally fixed for 2.30 pm on Saturday afternoon but an earlier postponement had seen the match moved to the Sunday, also in Ballinamore's Pairc Sheain Ui Eslin, but the game will not now take place.
Under GAA League regulations, postponed matches are usually fixed for the free weekends in the League schedule which could mean that the clash with Laois, a repeat of last year's Division 4 Final, could take place over the weekend of February 8/9.
