Leitrim Ladies face Dublin & Waterford in Championship Picture: Willie Donnellan
Leitrim will open their 2025 TG4 LGFA All-Ireland Senior Championship campaign with a trip to Dublin to take on the 2025 All-Ireland Senior Champions after the fixtures were revealed this week.
Leitrim knew they would face Waterford and Dublin in Group 4 of the TG4 All-Ireland LGFA Senior Championship after the Munster Final ended with Waterford on the losing side. Jonny Garrity's troops will face the 2023 All-Ireland winners Dublin and Munster runners-up Waterford in a group that appears to be the toughest of the four groups, from a Leitrim point of view.
With Waterford and Dublin meeting in the first game of the group on Sunday June 8, Leitrim will open their campaign with a trip to the capital to take on the Dubs on Saturday June 14, before Waterford visit Leitrim for the final group game on Saturday June 21.
None of Leitrim’s two games have been selected for live coverage on TG4 although it is expected all games will be streamed live. The top two in each group qualify for the quarter-finals on Saturday July 5, with the relegation semi-finals fixed for the same date.
Waterford were desperately unlucky not to shock All-Ireland champions Kerry last Sunday as the Kingdom hit two goals in the space of two minutes in the closing stages to sneak a 2-6 to 0-10 victory.

The Deise women finished third in Division 1 of the Lidl LGFA NFL earlier this year, beating Mayo 2-13 to 1-6 before going on to defeat new Ulster champions Armagh, last year's All-Ireland IFC finalists Tyrone and Kildare. The only points they dropped were narrow losses to both Kerry and Meath while they drew with Dublin.
In their Munster campaign, Waterford defeated Tipperary 2-9 to 1-7 in the first round before suffering a 1-11 to 2-9 loss against Kerry. They went on to book their place in the provincial final thanks to a comprehensive 3-12 to 1-9 victory over Cork.
Dublin, with Ballinamore's Eilish O'Dowd in their ranks, finished fourth in Division 1 of the Lidl NFL, beating Kerry, Mayo, Tyrone and Meath, drawing with Waterford but suffering a surprise loss to Kildare and a one point defeat at the hands of Armagh.
That loss to relegated Kildare proved costly as it knocked them out of the League semi-finals. In their Leinster campaign, the Dubs beat both Meath and Kildare in the three team group stage before scoring a hard fought 2-13 to 1-12 victory over Meath in the Leinster Final.
