The Leitrim squad which defeated Sligo in the Lidl LGFA NFL Division 4 Semi-Final Picture: Willie Donnellan
Jonny Garrity has named his Leitrim team to take on Carlow in Sunday’s Lidl LGFA NFL Division 4 Final in Grant Heating St Brendan’s Park (2 pm) with just one change from the team that started the Semi-Final win over Sligo as St Mary’s Kiltoghert’s Sarah Reynolds starts in defence.
Reynolds’ introduction means that St Joseph’s Rachel McIntyre drops to the bench for the Division 4 decider at the County Offaly venue while Kate Gormley (St Joseph’s) & Ailbhe Clancy (Glencar Manorhamilton) are being held in reserve after their major impact in the dramatic win over Sligo.
Glencar Manorhamilton have the biggest representation on the match day 15 as named on the LGFA website with five players while St Mary’s Kiltoghert are next with three. Mohill have two players with one each from St Francis, Drumkeerin, Kiltubrid, Annaduff and Ballinamore Sean O’Heslins.
Carlow have also named their team with four changes from the team that started their 2-7 to 0-11 victory over Leitrim in the group stages of the League. Megan Townsend and Edel Hayden both came on as subs in that victory in Heartland Credit Union Pairc Sean Mac Diarmada but Siofra & Caoimhe O’Neill are new starters.
