Kiltubrid's Jack Foley to line out with New York

The Roscommon jerseys will be very familiar but Kiltubrid and Leitrim star Jack Foley will be wearing the white of New York when he takes to the field in New York's Gaelic Park next Sunday evening to face Division 1 side Roscommon in the opening round of the Connacht Senior Football Championship.

The Kiltubrid man has been a nailed on starter for Leitrim since breaking through in the Senior team under Andy Moran but was unable to commit to the Green & Gold in 2026 due to college commitments in New York. Foley has joined up with the Stateside Exiles as they seek to shock Roscommon and register only New York's second ever victory after the win over Leitrim in 2023.

Sligo have also named their team to take on Leitrim in Sunday's Connacht SFC clash in Markievicz Park. The team is as follows:

  1. Aidan Devaney
  2. Tommy Ross
  3. Conor Sheridan
  4. Luke Casserly
