Get your tickets now as crowds limited for Connacht League ties in the Dome

Leitrim fans hoping to start off 2023 with a few visits to the NUI Galway Connacht GAA Air Dome to watch the county's footballers & hurlers in  Connacht League action will have to get their tickets pretty quickly with limited capacity at the Bekan facility.

Tickets are on sale right now online on the Connacht GAA website for the Leitrim hurlers' Connacht League clash with Mayo next Monday, January 2, and also for Andy Moran's team clash with All-Ireland finalists and Connacht champions Galway in the FBD Insurance Connacht Football League on Friday January 6 (7pm throw-in).

Tickets for the hurling game cost €10 but there are cheaper tickets for children and OAPs for the football game with those tickets cost €5 and all other tickets €10.

McGarty features in "On the Shoulders of Giants" recallling a golden era of gaelic games

The late Leitrim legend Packie McGarty features in a new book “On the Shoulders of Giants” by Henry Wymbs which chronicles the stories of some of Gaelic games' greatest heroes from the 1940s to 1970s

If the hurlers repeat their 2022 victory over Mayo, they will be back in the Air Dome just two days later on Wednesday January 4, with the Hurling League semi-finals down for decision. And regardless of how they get on in that game, should they qualify for the semi-finals, they would also be in action in the Cup and Shield Finals.

Leitrim footballers don't have quite as hectic a start to the year with the winners of the Galway and Leitrim clash facing Mayo on Saturday January 14, also in the Air Dome at the Connacht Centre of Excellence in Bekan.

Tickets can be purchased at www.universe.com or through lines on the Connacht GAA website.
