To celebrate Centra’s sponsorship of the GAA Hurling All-Ireland Senior Championship, Gibbons Centra Drumshanbo has got together with Allen Gaels GAA Club to host a community event on the Bank Holiday Monday, August 5.
The free family day, from 2 pm to 6 pm, is open to all and there will be a demonstration of hurling skills put on by some local hurling stars for girls and boys from the Drumshanbo and surrounding areas.
There will also be a hurling Under 14 exhibition game held on the day between St.Mary’s and Manorhamilton at 3pm and a coaching development officer will also be present.
There will be an opportunity to get your picture taken with the Liam McCarthy cup and meet the McCarthy family mascots.Parents must register each child for the event by sending an email to info@allen.ie, with a subject line called hurling skills. In this email could the parent please include the name and date of birth of each child that will be in attendance.
The skills session, which is open to all new hurlers, will be followed by a free BBQ at the club, showcasing some of Centra’s new Own Brand range. There will be entertainment on the day including face painting, music, prizes and much more.
