Kiltubrid has been selected as a host club for the 2014 Gaelic4Girls programme. They will now host the 12 week long programme throughout the Summer.

26 counties are represented on the list of 42 clubs to host Gaelic4Girls Programmes over 12 weeks throughout the Summer. The first 8 weeks of the programme are spent teaching the girls the basics of the game, many of the players will never have played the game before, and helping them become comfortable with the ball, with the other players and to become comfortable in a club environment.

The final four weeks are spent integrating the Gaelic4Girls participants within the club and with the existing club players where they will play and train as one group. At the end of the 12 weeks, each club is invited to take part in a non-competitive Provincial blitz where they get to interact with other players and clubs and where the coaches will also have the same opportunity.

Each club that is participating in this year’s programme will receive free training for both coaches and co-ordinators and will also be supplied with marketing and advertising material to help boost attendance at their camps.
