Asked his immediate reaction, a clearly angry Moran told the Observer “Just very, very frustrated. Gutted for the lads, for the effort they put in. Leitrim and the rest of the fourth division teams are putting in as big an effort as anybody and against all the odds and we’re not getting fair play.

“We’re not considered in the same light as the first, second and third divisions in terms of status, in terms of referees available. I just feel angry at this stage because when all our lads do all that travelling for training, giving up five or six hours a night for training, I’m just getting that frustrated and demoralised with the GAA in terms of fair play.”
