Williams, Moran & Beck start for Leitrim

Enda Williams, Shane Moran and Daniel Beck have all been added to the starting line-up for Leitrim’s Connacht Senior Championship Semi-Final clash with Mayo next Sunday in Elvery’s McHale Park.

Enda Williams, Shane Moran and Daniel Beck have all been added to the starting line-up for Leitrim’s Connacht Senior Championship Semi-Final clash with Mayo next Sunday in Elvery’s McHale Park.

Former Longford star Williams starts at centre-back with Fabian McMorrow moving to full-back to replace Ciaran Egan who was dropped from the Senior team in the wake of the win over London for disciplinary issues.

Long term injury victim Daniel Beck returns in place of St. Mary’s James Glancy at the number 2 slot while Ballinamore’s Sean O’Heslin’s Shane Moran makes his first ever Championship start at midfield where he partners Darren Sweeney. Moran’s introduction comes at the expense of Daniel Lowe who was ruled out through injury.

The team features four Glencar/Manorhamilton players, three from Melvin Gaels, two from Ballinamore Sean O’Heslin’s and one each from Mohill, Annaduff, Gortleteragh, Drumkeerin, St. Patrick’s Dromahair and Longford’s Clonguish.

The full Leitrim line-up is: 1. Cathal McCrann (Gortletteragh), 2. Daniel Beck (Mohill), 3. Fabian McMorrow (Melvin Gaels), 4. Paddy Maguire (Capt) (Glencar Manorhamilton), 5. Colm Clarke (Drumkeerin), 6. Enda Williams, (Clonguish), 7. Wayne McKeon (Ballinamore Seán O’Heslin’s), 8. Darren Sweeney (Glencar Manorhamilton), 9. Shane Moran (Ballinamore Sean O’ Heslin’s), 10. Paul Brennan (Melvins Gaels), 11. Emlyn Mulligan (Melvin Gaels), 12. Paddy McGowan (St. Patrick’s Dromahair), 13. Ray Cox (Annaduff), 14. James Glancy (Glencar Manorhamilton), 15. Adrian Croal (Glencar Manorhamilton).
