Mayo name three debutants as Mortimer left out

Mayo have named three debutants for next Sunday’s Connacht Semi-Final clash with Leitrim in Elvery’s McHale Park while surprisingly leaving star forward Conor Mortimer out of the starting 15.

Mayo have named three debutants for next Sunday’s Connacht Semi-Final clash with Leitrim in Elvery’s McHale Park while surprisingly leaving star forward Conor Mortimer out of the starting 15.

Newcomers Kevin Keane, Lee Keegan and Danny Geraghty will make their first championship starts against Leitrim while Alan Freeman replaces Conor Mortimer in the full-forward line.

Mayo will also line out without the O’Shea brothers but still feature Keith Higgins, Ger Cafferkey, Donal Vaughan, Barry Moran, Cillian O’Connor and Alan Dillon while captain Andy Moran starts at full-forward.

The full Mayo team for Sunday is: David Clarke, Kevin Keane, Ger Cafferkey, Keith Higgins, Lee Keegan, Donal Vaughan, Colm Boyle, Barry Moran, Danny Geraghty, Kevin McLoughlin, Cillian O’Connor, Alan Dillon, Alan Freeman, Andy Moran, Jason Doherty.
