In the first genuine shock of the club championship, GWP Intermediate championship favourites Ballinamore Sean O’Heslin’s have been knocked out of the competition by Glencar/Manorhamilton’s second string.

Long time competition favourites Ballinamore were sensationally beaten by Glencar/Manorhamilton in Drumkeerin on Sunday afternoon, 1-12 to 0-11, to burst the competition wide open after Aaron Hickey’s goal stunned O’Heslin’s.

And Ballinamore’s absence from the draw will have the remaining teams dreaming of glory with Glencar/Manorhamilton’s reward for the victory a meeting with the winners of Drumkeerin and Glenfarne/Kiltyclogher replay while St. Patrick’s Dromahair, who accounted for Aughnahseelin by 0-11 to 0-6 in the first game in Drumkeerin on Sunday, meeting Eslin in the other semi-final.
