Pairc Sean Mac Diarmada will host next Saturday’s All-Ireland Qualifier between All-Ireland Champions Donegal and Laois at 5pm.
Thousands of fans are expected to descend on Carrick-on-Shannon next Saturday after Croke Park has announced that the meeting of the 2012 Champions Donegal and Laois will take place at the Leitrim venue.
The news means that the Connacht Gold Senior Club Championship double header featuring St. Mary’s Kiltoghert and Bornacoola and County champions Melvin Gaels and Mohill has been moved to Shane McGettigan Park in Drumshanbo.
Both Laois and Donegal will have happy memories of playing Qualifier games in Pairc Sean, the midlanders triumphing by two points last year against Leitrim while Donegal needed extra time in 2007 to see off the Green & Gold on a 1-16 to 1-14 scoreline.
Donegal face a tricky task to save their season after their shock defeat to Monaghan in Clones last Sunday while Laois rode their luck to overcome Wexford in the Qualifiers last Saturday.
