Three contests for Leitrim GAA County Board Convention

Delegates at the Leitrim GAA County Board Convention

There will be contests for three positions on the 2018 Leitrim GAA County  Executive after the nominations deadline closed last week.

Former Secretary Stephen Flynn is the sole nominee for the position of Vice-Chairman while no nominations were received for the post of Development Officer, vacated by Pat Feely.

There are contests for the role of Assistant Treasurer, Central Council delegate and the two Connacht Council delegates positions but with some of the candidates nominated for more than one position, there may be less contests on the night.

Former Treasurer and outgoing Connacht Council delegate Jim Meehan goes up against outgoing Development Officer Pat Feely for the job of Assistant Treasurer while outgoing Assistant Treasurer John Mulvey is nominated with Pat Feely and incumbent Enda Tiernan for the Connacht Council jobs.

Outgoing Vice-Chairman Sean O’Suilleabhain is nominated for the job of Central Council delegate along with Stephen Flynn and Enda Tiernan so the order the elections are taken may ultimately decide who gets what job
