Roscommon GAA have issued another injury update ahead of next Saturday’s Connacht Senior Football Championship clash with Leitrim with a much more positive picture emerging.
Kevin McStay’s side travel to Pairc Sean Mac Diarmada for the Semi-Final clash with Leitrim on Saturday at 5.30 and have issued a more positive update on their injury situation ahead of the game.
Roscommon GAA revealed that players who did not play as many minutes in challenge matches were all made available to their clubs last weekend and are available for selection for the Connacht Championship semi-final.
Hamstring victory Ultan Harney is continuing to improve but Leitrim game comes too soon while Cathal Compton, suffering from an ankle ligaments injury, successfully came through a weekend in-house game. Both John McManus and Niall McInerney, suffering from hamstring injuries, proved their fitness during the week.
Cathal Cregg, suffering from a groin niggle, played with his club at the weekend while Niall Daly, coming off a foot injury, returned to full training last weekend. Fergal Lennon, who has been suffering from back spasms, played 35 minutes in midweek challenge game, unable to train over weekend due to exams.
Ciaran Lennon remains out of action for eight weeks with a complex break of his thumb while Sean McDermott faces a battle to be fit after coming off injured in a midweek challenge. McDermott did not play for his club at the weekend but hopes to be fit.
