Leitrim's mouth watering clash with Monaghan in the third round of the All-Ireland Senior Championship Qualifiers has been fixed for 2.30 pm next Saturday, June 30, in Pairc Sean Mac Diarmada.
With a winner having to be decided on the day which would mean extra-time and a free-taking shootout, Leitrim and Monaghan players could be in action during the hottest part of the day during the heat-wave that is predicted to hit the country over the next week.
Leitrim's game will be the first to throw-in next Saturday with the meeting of Armagh and Clare fixed for the Gaelic Grounds in Armagh at 3 pm while Croke Park will host the meeting of Cavan & Tyrone at 5 pm followed by the clash of Kildare & Mayo at 7pm.
Both Breffni Park, which is out of commission due to works being carried out at the moment, and St. Conleth's Park in Newbridge are not considered to have big enough capacity for the crowds expected for the games.
