Leitrim go into Sunday's Allianz NFL division four encounter with London knowing a win will almost guarantee a place in next month's final and promotion to division three.
Speaking ahead of the visit of the exiles to Avantcard Pairc Sean MacDiarmada (throw-in 1pm), Leitrim manager Terry Hyland has a simple message for his players - 'keep on winning.'
There will be no complacency from the Leitrim camp and Terry believes he won't have any difficulty keeping his players feet on the ground ahead of Sunday's big game.
Leitrim have now recorded successive victories over Wexford, Wicklow, Antrim and Limerick and a place in next month's final is within touching distance and would be all but sealed with a win over London.
Talking about the four match winning streak his team are enjoying Terry said: “The enjoyment in any sport is when you are winning so that is what you have to keep doing.
“As far as keeping their feet on the ground, they haven't got across any line yet. They have achieved four wins in the league which is wonderful and it is great but they haven't got the end goal and that is promotion and that means keep on playing until they do that.
“In other words there will no problem keeping lads feet on the ground.”
London have just one win from their opening four games but Leitrim have been on the receiving end of plenty of tough battles at the hands of the exiles and Terry is confident there will be no complacency within the Leitrim ranks.
Looking ahead to Sunday's game, Terry's message was simple - if you don't treat your opposition with full respect you will be in for a rude awakening.
“You have to treat everybody with respect. We have to give London the same respect as we would give to any of the teams that we have played.
“Let the perception be that they are stronger or weaker that doesn't matter because the day you go out and don't give respect to your opposition, that is the day you will get caught.
