Coggins pleased despite defeat

Although disappointed with the result, Paul Coggins was pleased with London’s performance in their final league outing. The Exiles host Galway at Ruislip on May 25, and Coggins says they must show more ruthlessness in front of goal if they are to repeat last year’s heroics.

Although disappointed with the result, Paul Coggins was pleased with London’s performance in their final league outing. The Exiles host Galway at Ruislip on May 25, and Coggins says they must show more ruthlessness in front of goal if they are to repeat last year’s heroics.

“We worked the ball into scoring positions but found it hard to get away a shot. We have something to work on there but at least we’re creating chances.

“Overall I’m happy with the league. We produced some competitive performances, including today against Leitrim, and we’ll drive on now towards the Galway match.

“Last year is over now; we have to move on. It’s about getting ready for Galway. The biggest difficulty will be getting competitive games between now and then, but we’ll do our best and look forward to the summer months.”
