Leitrim Ladies will travel to Mullingar next Saturday for their TG4 All-Ireland Ladies Intermediate Championship Semi-Final against Down.

The Ladies Gaelic Football Association have confirmed that Cusack Park in Mullingar will host the meeting with a 1.30 throw-in with the Dublin v Galway Senior Semi-Final taking place at 3.15.

The venue should make it much easier for Leitrim supporters to travel to cheer on the Ladies team as they bid to reach their first Final since 2008 when they last won the Mary Quinn Cup but they face a tough task against a Down team who came through their semi-final against Sligo with a point to spare.

Leitrim defeated Limerick last Saturday in Banagher, 3-7 to 1-8, with goals from Roisin Fowley and Aine Tighe while keeper Michelle Guckian also produced an outstanding display.
