Wicklow top the table after an impressive 3-9 to 1-13 over Antrim in Ahogill. Leighton Glynn’s return from injury has been a huge boost to the Garden County as he scored two penalties to go with the three goals he got against London.
Antrim led by five points in the second half but Wicklow finished strongly to kill off Antrim.
The battle for promotion took an unexpected turn when Waterford drew with favourites Tipperary in Clonmel. The Deise men had a great chance late on to snatch the win but Paul Whyte, scorer of 1-5, on the day dragged his shot wide. Tipperary trailed by two points at the break but had an unanswered run of five points before Waterford rallied to snatch a deserved draw.
