London’s victory over Sligo in Ruislip was no surprise to the Leitrim panel according to Kevin Conlan.
“I’ve played against them with the College team,” said Kevin of the Exiles, “in the FBD and the League and I have to say this year in Carrick, not necessarily that they have better players but they definitely came better organised than any other year.
“They had a system in place, it was very obvious ,they were very vocal with each other and they had great faith in their manager and they just seem a more tight knit unit and that means a lot especially in a tight Division like Division 4. That result against Sligo didn’t shock a lot of people here, it might have outside of Connacht but we knew well they were capable of doing it, we were there last year.”
