Ladies to face Down in semi-final

It has been confirmed that Leitrim will face Down in the semi-final of the Bord Gais Energy Ladies National Footbal League Division on Sunday, April 29. The sides previously met in the competition on the opening day of league action on February 5 with Leitrim emerging 5-9 to 1-5 winners.

It has been confirmed that Leitrim will face Down in the semi-final of the Bord Gais Energy Ladies National Footbal League Division on Sunday, April 29. The sides previously met in the competition on the opening day of league action on February 5 with Leitrim emerging 5-9 to 1-5 winners.

Leitrim finished in third place in division 3, level on points with Armagh and Westmeath and the three teams were put into a hat. Subsequently Leitrim were drawn out first and were drawn to face Down who finished fourth in the division.

Westmeath and Armagh will meet in the other semi-final.

Leitrim completed their division 3 campaign on Sunday last with a five point win over Roscommon in Hyde Park.

The venus for the semi-final has yet to be confirmed but it will be contested at a neutral venue.
