National League fixtures announced

The club championship action may have only just finished in the county but attention is now rapidly turning towards a new year for Leitrim GAA.

The fixtures for the Allianz football leagues were announced yesterday, giving supporters an opportunity to plot where they see their teams picking up the points that might be enough to secure promotion.

Leitrim begin their Division 4 campaign with a home fixture against Antrim on Sunday, February 2 and will subsequently face Clare (a); Carlow (h); Wicklow (a); Waterford (a); Tipperary (h) and London (a).

The schedule in full for Leitrim in the 2014 Allianz national Football League Division 4 is as follows:

Sunday, February 2, 2pm - Leitrim v Antrim

Sunday, February 9, 2pm - Clare v Leitrim

Sunday, March 2, 2pm - Leitrim v Carlow

Sunday, March 9, 2pm - Wicklow v Leitrim

Sunday, March 16, 2pm - Waterford v Leitrim

Sunday, March 30, 2pm - Leitrim v Tipperary

Sunday, April 6, 3pm - London v Leitrim

The draws also took place for the 2014 Connacht Minor and U-21 Championships with Leitrim set to face Galway in the U-21 Championship semi-final while in the Minor Championship Leitrim have been drawn to face Roscommon in the semi-final.

The draw in full for the Connacht U-21 Championship is as follows:

Quarter-Final

A: Mayo v Roscommon

Semi-Final:

A v Sligo

Galway v Leitrim

The draw in full for the Connacht Minor Championship is as follows:

Minor Football Championship

Quarter-Final

A: Sligo v Galway
