Exiles goalscoring hero expresses relief

The man who scored London’s second goal, Mayo native Sean Kelly expressed his relief at the end of the game while also looking forward to the replay.

The man who scored London’s second goal, Mayo native Sean Kelly expressed his relief at the end of the game while also looking forward to the replay.

Speaking after the game Sean Kelly expressed his relief that London will get another chance writes Philip Rooney.

“Relief is the word that comes to mind. We’re happy to get a second crack at it next week. We’re probably a little bit concerned with having let the two point lead slip, we’re just relieved.

Recalling the decisive goal he scored after being introduced as a sub Sean said, “I don’t know, I just chased down the ball, I didn’t see a whole pile on. I just ran in around the end-line, got past him, stuck a leg at it and thankfully the goalie dived out of the way and it went in. It was alright,” he said modestly.
