Leitrim to face Clare in Birr All-Ireland Quarter-Final

Leitrim will face Munster runners-up Clare in the TG4 Ladies Intermediate Championship Quarter-Final in Birr after the Banner women overcame Limerick last Friday. Amidst the furore over the Camogie “coin-toss” between Clare and Dublin, it escaped attention that three members of the Clare team had lined out on Friday in a Qualifier game against Limerick that went to extra-time before the Banner women emerged with a one point win on a scoreline of 3-7 to 3-6.

Leitrim will face Munster runners-up Clare in the TG4 Ladies Intermediate Championship Quarter-Final in Birr after the Banner women overcame Limerick last Friday. Amidst the furore over the Camogie “coin-toss” between Clare and Dublin, it escaped attention that three members of the Clare team had lined out on Friday in a Qualifier game against Limerick that went to extra-time before the Banner women emerged with a one point win on a scoreline of 3-7 to 3-6.

That Clare victory sets up a meeting with Leitrim on Saturday week, August 15, with the game scheduled for a 3.45 throw-in. In other results, Connacht runners-up Sligo had just two points to spare over Roscommon in yet another meeting for the Connacht counties, Sligo winning 2-15 to 2-13.

Junior Championship: Dromahair v Glencar/Manorhamilton in Drumkeerin 12.30
