Sligo - Leitrim Count 2: Little change as Green candidate excluded

The second count in Sligo-Leitrim has been concluded

The second count has been completed in Sligo-Leitrim-South Donegal, shortly before 10am this morning.

With just 556 votes to be redistributed after count one, the transfers were never going to make a significant change in the standings with a number of counts required to edge any candidates closer to the quota of 11,381.

The standings after count 2 sees Fine Gael's Frank Feighan TD out in front with Deputy Martin Kenny and Michael Clarke following behind. Fianna Fáil's Eamon Scanlon looks on course to fill the fourth seat and win back a seat he previously held.

Green Party candidate Bláithín Gallagher has been excluded and her transfers are next to be distributed.
